When a claim changes, the description does not rewrite itself

G 1/25 sets the boundary for description adaptation — and September’s Turkish patent and trademark bulletins show where activity actually moved.

Data window: September 2026 · Patent bulletin 2026_09 (21 Sep) · Trademark bulletins 500–501 (14 & 28 Sep) · Validas indexes + EPO Boards / Official Journal

01 The month in one sentence

EP validations into Türkiye rebounded in September — but the twelve-month picture is still weak.

408 EP Türkiye fascicles +39% vs Aug · −37% vs 12-bulletin avg
1,052 Publications −17% vs Aug · ≈ 12-bulletin avg
293 Patents granted −26% vs Aug · −15% vs 12-bulletin avg
Micro trend EP Türkiye fascicles — last 12 bulletins
avg 925 294 408
  • Peak 925
  • Aug trough 294
  • Sep 408
  • 12-bulletin avg 625

Rebound is real month-on-month — still well below the year average.

Why it matters Short windows can flatter a recovery that the year has not yet confirmed — so the figures sit next to their twelve-bulletin average, not only last month.

138 restorations · +85% vs 12-bulletin average

We read

September holds an unusually concentrated restoration cycle — the clearer year outlier than the assignment jump.

Lifecycle 2009/01001 · vertical-axis wind-turbine blade
  1. Application 2009
  2. Lapse 2025_09
  3. Restored 2025_10

Why it matters Ownership transfers also jumped (67 vs 39), but the clearer outlier against the year is restoration volume. Missed-fee windows still have statutory room; the spike is a lifecycle signal, not noise.

◉ Evidence
  • Source: TÜRKPATENT patent bulletin 2026_09 (Validas Patent Intelligence)
  • Window: September 2026 vs August + prior 12-bulletin average
  • Example lifecycle: application 2009/01001 (vertical-axis wind-turbine blade)
  • Caveat: indexed bulletin events — not a complete portfolio count

04 Patent & brand pulse

Who accelerated (patent)

Three portfolios with clean name matches accelerated hard versus their prior twelve-bulletin windows — volume concentration, not a league table.

  • TT MOBİL 3.6×
  • DÖKTAŞ 3.4×
  • ANADOLU ISUZU 3.3×

Separate outlier (not on the same scale): an unnamed F24C cooking/heating portfolio, 8 → 198.

Assignments: 67 vs 39 in August (OCR-noisy party strings; treat clusters as approximate).

Why it matters Acceleration lists show where prosecution volume concentrated — not who “won” the month. Extreme name-cluster spikes stay unnamed until alias logic is checked.

Trademark signals

National publications in bulletins 500–501: 12,912 (Madrid 897), versus 15,088 in Aug (−14% MoM) and 13,912 in Sep 2025 (−7% YoY).

Top national applicant string: BİLİM İLAÇ with 67 applications (almost all Nice class 05), ahead of the next at 22. Same string had 86 in August — peer dominance in September, not a MoM spike.

Class 05 ●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●
Other ●

Why interesting In a thinner publication month, one pharma string still owns the national leaderboard — concentration, not a sudden filing boom.

Concept layer (specific tier): AI / ML tags 96 → 58 — sharpest MoM drop among concepts with a meaningful August base.

Why it matters Lower overall publication volume, but unusually concentrated activity in pharma (class 05) — a thinner market with a clearer sector lead.

Coverage note Validas research layer dataset 20261005.960: 960 cases / 2,431 events · 75.1% of the official catalog. Figures below are layer metrics for September-dated events — not official court volume — until the full rebuild lands. After rebuild, this section keeps the same metric slots.

One CoA file with a September-dated layer event: UPC_CoA_935/2025 (Amycell). Transitions stay sparse until coverage is complete — slot reserved every month.

Why it matters Until full coverage, raw case/event totals mislead. Division mix, action type, and busiest dockets are the durable reading of the layer.

06 Law & procedure

07 Tool door

September’s restoration spike is a reminder that Turkish patent timelines still have statutory room after a missed fee. Map ordinary deadline → surcharge window → office communication → restoration.
